Isn’t it Odd?

October 1st, 2007 by napoleonjones

Isn’t it odd, that some folk have found the new World of Warcraft patch to be a bit of a problem. They’re worried that, although this is a fantasy game, with imaginary characters, that having their real voices will give them away. I ask you, does anyone really know what an Orc or a Troll really sounds like? I’m sure I don’t.

Isn’t the point of the game, just to get your characters to the highest level possible? Perhaps these players should spend more time leveling and less time worrying.

World of Warcraft smashes paedo sex ring

September 24th, 2007 by napoleonjones

As everyone knows, or at least should by now, that Blizzard keeps a very sharp eye on World of Warcraft, it strikes me as very odd that an alliance dedicated to virtual acts of a dubious sexual nature, expected to be allowed to continue. I suppose, had they policed their members a little better(no pun intended), and found out whether they were over 18, their run of luck may have continued a little longer.

Mind you, their idea of sexual fantasies of the unpleasant kind, struck me as just plain silly and childish in the main. Perhaps therefore, none of the members were adults.

Looks Like I Was Right.

September 5th, 2007 by napoleonjones

Guess I was right, World of Warcraft players really don’t have a life. Either that, or they’re too shy to talk about it. Perhaps they feel that living in a fantasy world, with virtual friends is difficult to comprehend for the rest of us. I guess they’re right.
Or maybe they imagine that the secret world they inhabit, is like the world of 007, exciting and glamorous. Who knows what it is, players certainly don’t want the rest of us to know, that’s for sure.

Great News That Free Speech Has Been Reatored.

August 8th, 2007 by napoleonjones

What terrific news, that the BAA has been defeated and protests can now go ahead, also that the Brian Haw’s Iraq War Protest in London can continue. A great shot in the arm for the people of Britain. There have been enough victims of the police crackdown on protesters since the Protection from Harassment Act was introduced in 1997.

Is this really for me?

July 27th, 2007 by napoleonjones

Well, I’ve made absolutely no progress with the World of Warcraft thing, there’s really been very little time for anything this week. I was away until Wednesday on a short break (wet but very enjoyable, as we spent time with friends that we hadn’t seen for ages).By the time I got back to the computer, my emails were piling up, and getting rid of all the spam took ages. So, no progress in any direction really, just clearing up and sorting out. Never mind, there’s always next week, to get things moving again (unless there are distractions again). That’s the beauty of being retired, you can do anything you want, when you want.

Slowly Making WoW progress

July 17th, 2007 by napoleonjones

One of the things I like most about World of Warcraft, is the fact that it allows you to progress at your own speed. Although I only devote a little time to the game, you could if you wished spend an entire week playing. Anyone  from across the world can undertake heroic exploits and great quests, in a fantasy land and World of Warcraft power levels bring you great rewards, allowing you to purchase your epic mount really quickly.
This must be the best way of living your life, the way you imagined it would be when you were a child, looking forward to a life filled with adventure.

Wow Newbie

July 10th, 2007 by napoleonjones

I’ve just become a World of Warcraft player. Wow, what a lot to learn. At the moment I’m studying one of the better online guides, the "Ultimate WoW Guide" which I found online at www.woweasygold.com It’s been a real godsend for an old fogie like me. Having a name like Napoleon, I thought waging war would be easy - how wrong can you be?
